It’s Snowing Chicago; Time to Think Winter Storage
We all want to ride as much as we can, no matter the cold, but you don’t want to leave your scoot in the snow. At minimum you want to have a good cover on it and keep it dug out from being buried.
If you are not participating in the Cold Weather Challenge, and you do not have a garage or some other means of keeping your scoot out of the elements, then you need winter storage. Think of how much you love your scoot, now think of how it will suffer left to rot in Chicago’s nasty winter. Got the picture? Good, now tell yourself $260.00 is a very small price to pay for peace of mind and a well taken care of scoot for the entire Chicago winter. (Up to May 1st.)
Ace Motorcycle and Scooter wants to keep your scoot out of the cold and make sure it is 100% ready for you come spring. They will store your scoot in a heated climate controlled, insured, and security monitored location. All the while, tending to your battery, fluids, and other storage maintenance.
Pretty good deal if you ask us! Wait, you are asking us! Ace knows this so that’s why Chicago Scooter Club Members will receive $20 off, that’s only $240 for 5 months of scooter TLC and storage. Plus, the peace of mind knowing that come that first warm spring day at the end of April your scoot will be ready to ride. I’ll be doing the Cold Weather Challenge on my Stella, but the 2 Vespas and the Buddy are going to Aunt Bee’s and Uncle Chad’s for Hibernation.
For those of you with a place to store your scoots
Ace has you covered too, with scooter covers, battery tenders, and fuel stabilizers, plus all the tips and tricks for you to do pre and post storage so give them a call. Who knows, maybe this winter will be the perfect time for you to make some modifications to your scoot, maybe a new exhaust, a new performance carb, or paint? If you do be sure to let us know we love before and after pictures and stories.
Ace has always done right by us, and everyone we have ever told to give them a try, they are really good people, who truly love motorcycles and scooters along with the people who ride them. They support the rider community of Chicago by sponsoring Chicago’s largest rider events including Mods vs. Rockers and the Slaughterhouse Scooter Rally. They are located in the West Loop at 1042 W. Jackson Blvd. (312)-432-0955.
