PBS- Ride Along the Lincoln Highway; No age Limit

The Lincoln Highway: Coast to Coast from Times Square to the Golden Gate (Book)

Last night on WTTW (click for show times), was the much anticipated documentary about the Lincoln Highway; A Ride Along the Lincoln Highway.  During this wonderful maze through an iconic American highway story we met Buddy and Bob who rode their Piaggio MP3 500’s from San Francisco’s Lincoln Park the western end of the line all the way east to Time Square NYC.  They can be seen in the clip below and their full story can be found at their web site No Age Limit.

Trips like this are what dreams are made of, and from which inspiration is found. This PBS video was my first introduction to the Lincoln Highway and now that I have seen what some of Route 66 can offer I now must start my planning to ride this great road.

To learn more about the Lincoln Highway I suggest first seeing this video I also suggested the following links after the read more.

Great show! I only caught the last half of the show but enjoyed it. I will try to catch it again and watch the whole show.

I was born a few miles off the Lincoln Highway (Hanover, PA) and now live close to it as well (Aurora, IL). I have driven across most of Indiana and the western half of Ohio on the Lincoln highway, as well as from Breezewood PA to York PA and into the Amish country. The PA stretch from Breezewood to Gettysburg goes through some beautiful countryside.
