Oklahoma Route 66

Just got back from Oklahoma and a quick tour of route 66 from Okie City to Tulsa visiting iconic little country towns such as Stroud, Bristow, Kellyville, and Supulpa. In Stroud we met Captain Hays, a WW II B-29 Pilot who flew over 30 combat missions over Japan. My Wife Stephanie’s grandfather severed with Captain Hays aboard the as navigator. What an ideal road route 66 is, full of history around every turn and littered amongst each little town symbiotically able to survive.
Motorcycles and scooters were seen the entire way with the typical Harley rider being the most frequent sight.
It will be our goal to take on route 66 next summer with as many scooter riders as we can pick up along the way.
On May 3rd, 1999 Stroud Oklahoma was in the direct path of the largest most destructive tornado ever recorded. This Tornado actually change the rating of the which goes from 0 to 5. Stroud was nearly wiped off the map, and many parts of it were including a very large Outlet Mall of shopping centers.
