Protect the Plate!

Over the weekend I had to get my temp tag replaced because it was about to expire, while I’m still waiting for my actual plates to arrive.

While waiting,  I got to talking to some other scooter riders and was informed that there is an increase of license plate thefts on scooters and motorcycles in Chicago.  Especially temp plates. BASTARDS!

What can be done? Bolt those suckers down!

I found these Skull ~n~ Cross Bones at J&P Cycles.  Keep in mind it’s more of a deturent than prevention. Any Scooter Trash theiving S.O.B that wants it bad enough can still get your plate off but Scooter Trash usually go for the easy score.

Yes there are cheaper options out there (just go to any hardware store and find a 7/16″ head with 3/4″ thread reach bolt and nut, hex bolt, or alan. Where’s the style in that though?

Also, for your city sticker, drill a hole in it and get that locked on to the plate too.
