This is going to happen again because of the chaos happening in the Middle East. I just hope the war in the Middle East will stop so the oil prices will be back to normal.

I’ve saved a lot of money too by switching from a 6-liter V-8 (Chevy Silverado) to a 125-cc Buddy. But even if gas prices drop to pre-Katrina, pre-Iraqi war levels, I don’t think I’d go back to the truck as a daily driver. The scooter’s far too much fun to put in the garage. I’m looking forward to riding throughout the winter when all the Harley guys in town have their bikes in storage. About the only time I’ll drive the truck is if the snowplow hasn’t been through yet.

Given the choice between my Ford Explorer (13 mpg) and my Honda Elite 80 (85+ mpg), the cash I’ve saved the last few months has been huge. Besides, I can’t work on my tan driving my gas hog!
